The National Winter Games are a highlight in the athletes’ annual calendar. In front of a large audience, they show what they are capable of – and are celebrated for their commitment and achievements.

This is made possible by divisioning, the unique sports philosophy of Special Olympics: All participants can take part, give their best, and celebrate genuine success. Before the final competitions, the athletes are divided into homogeneous performance groups – only then do they compete in the finals fairly and on equal terms.
