National Games Chur 2028 Organizing Committee
The National Games 2028 in Chur are planned and executed by a dedicated organizing committee. Hundreds of volunteers, full-time staff, and partners work together to create an unforgettable event for over 800 athletes.
The committee consists of experts from various fields: sports, logistics, finance, communications, and volunteer management. Everyone is moved by the spirit of Special Olympics and is fully committed to a successful event.
Structure Departments
Executive Management
The executive management, under the direction of an experienced Director General, coordinates all aspects of the National Games.
Sport Technology
Coordination of all competitions, sports rules, referees, timing, and measurement technology. Ensuring fair and professional competitions.
Athletes Support
Support for all athletes, including accommodation, catering, medical care, and security.
Volunteers HR
Recruitment, training, and deployment of over 1,000 volunteers. Personnel communication and volunteer management.
Logistics Infrastructure
Provision of all infrastructure, transport, accommodation organization, security, and accessibility.
Marketing Communications
Public relations, media relations, social media, sponsorships, and fundraising.
Finance Controlling
Budget management, sponsor acquisition, financial planning, and controlling of all expenditures.
Ceremonies Events
Planning and execution of the opening and closing ceremonies, medal ceremonies, and supporting program.
Sustainability Legacy
Ensuring sustainable practices and long-term impact of the National Games on the region.
Leadership Team
Director General
Leads the organizing committee and bears overall responsibility for the National Games 2028. Coordination of all departments and strategic decisions.
Sports Director
Responsible for all sporting aspects: competition organization, rules, referees, and sporting excellence.
Operations Director
Responsible for logistics, infrastructure, transport, and day-to-day operations during the National Games.
Volunteer Director
Leads the team of over 1,000 volunteers. Coordination of training, deployment planning, and volunteer support.
Finance Sponsoring Director
Budget management, acquisition of sponsorships and donations, financial control, and reporting.
Marketing Communications Director
Responsible for all marketing and PR activities, media relations, social media, and public communication.
